Obesity runs on both sides of my family. Every time I would lose weight, I'd gain it right back. In this picture, I was at my heaviest which was 250 pounds. This is actually one of the pictures I sent to my surgery coordinator for scheduling. She made me aware that I would need to lose some weight in order to meet their BMI requirements, which was 37. In order to be able to have my surgery, I needed to lose about 40 pounds in 45 days.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
I buckled down and started a high intensity diet. Along with that and exercise, I was able to lose 45 pounds before my surgery date (HINT: always lose a few more pounds than what they tell you.) This is a pic of me heading to my pre-op appointment the day before surgery. I was cleared with a BMI of 34!!! :)
